Day Two.

Finally...I'm here!

Day One was amazing. I was so excited to get here and had great expectations for everything. It has already exceeded my expectations. We arrived at the Arvada base, finally got to meet everyone we have been talking to for months in person, and had lunch with all the other people starting different Discipleship Training Schools. Then, we drove about 45 minutes up to Eagle Rock, where we are living. It is indescribably beautiful here. No pictures do it justice. Every time I walk out of the girls' dorm, called The Lodge, my breath is taken away by the view.

This week is "bonding week," so we have been spending a lot of time getting to know each other and hearing about the wide variety of backgrounds. I'm rooming with five other girls, and everyone is SO friendly and open. We have had a few worship sessions, and the Holy Spirit's presence has been so thick in this place. Tonight we all walked up a giant, steep hill to Mark and Donna's gorgeous log cabin, where we stared at the sunset among thousands of green and yellow trees around us, sipped hot, homemade chai tea, laughed until we cried playing ridiculous games, and heard one of the staff's testimonies.
Once we got back, some girls and I were playing around with flashlights and a camera. I'm sure we'll be much better and basically pros by the end of this, but here are two of the pictures we took. ;)

Cool, right!?

Tomorrow we will be going to Estes Park, so I'm hoping to take some great pictures to share with you :)

Thanks for taking the time to read these updates! I appreciate all your prayers and support!
